The expansion proposal is for an area that contains the headwater source of the Alliston Aquifer. On this basis alone a government that respects the need to protect the drinking water of current and future generations would deny this application. Read more

We must listen to our elders and youth and protect our water. Would you drink from a cup I stick my hand into? No? Then why would you want to drink from an aquifer contaminated by digging. Would you drink water directly from the bay? Again no? Read more

Good day. In reference to the agrigate near Elmvale Ontario, I am strongly apposed as are the citizens and council of Tony Township. The Ministry has the knowledge of many studies from the past about how pristine the water suppy is nearby.. Read more

We want a moratorium on any expansion and any water taking permits for CRH-Canada - Dufferin Aggregate at the Teedon Pit in the Waverley Uplands. This Company has not done a cumulative impact study, nor has it installed turbidity monitors. They are not being good Corporate Citizens. Read more

I stand against Dufferin's activities across Ontario. Their projects benefit the urban center primarily, but draw most heavily from rural lands. Dufferin's intention to use the aquifer at Aliston to wash gravel is offensive. Read more

The purest groundwater ever identified - is under threat - this time from a gravel pit expansion in the Waverley Uplands. The Uplands represent the recharge area for this pristine aquifer, one of the most important natural resources in Simcoe County, Ontario. Read more

I am opposed to the destruction of land especially where it may impact our natural resources such as water. we have destroyed our lands far too much and should take lessons in the damage we have done and not repeat our mistakes over and over again. Read more
