I fear for the stability of the surrounding properties when the underground water is moved -- what will that do to existing structures. I also fear for the excess noise pollution from a running generator(?) and pumping system -- and subsequent pollution form the generator if gas fired. Read more

I am concerned about the removal of over 3.8M litres of water per day from this proposed site close to Lake Huron (note that the proposed development site is in a different location than any of the engineering studies with the permit proposal contemplated). Read more

In a letter sent to the proponent in July 2021m, the senior soil technician from the engineering firm hired by the proponent, submits new soil analyses for the 6 bore holes as an addendum to the previously issued geotechnical report completed by XXX Engineering, on February 16, 2021. Read more

This particular water taking application is for a construction build on the Port Elgin sand beach, on the Lake Huron shoreline in the community of Saugeen Shores. The Port Elgin beach is a gem of the community and has public washrooms, an active harbour and 2 restaurants. Read more

The entire report from the Engineering Company that did the soil analysis of the 7 Boreholes needs to be redone. Only one of the boreholes is even on the current CCV site map. The document is a photocopy which makes it difficult to copy sections to comment on. Read more
