I am totally against the proposal that St. Mary’s will be burning 400 tones of garbage from industrial sites. Where will the incentive be for companies to reduce harmful waste? I am also very disturbed that harmful emissions such as dioxins and furons will not be regularly monitored. Lire davantage

Allowing St. Mary’s Cement to burn garbage would be ludicrous and irresponsible. The air shed in this location is already compromised and putting company profits ahead of the health and welfare of citizens is just plain wrong. This time, let’s listen to scientists. Lire davantage

As a local scientist researching brain cancer, I am gravely concerned by the proposal put forth by St. Marys Cement to burn garbage. Heavy metals, fine particulate matter, dioxins and furans have been linked to cancer (including brain cancer) and other diseases. Lire davantage
