Bill 132, The Better for People, Smarter for Business Act 2019, received Royal Assent on December 10, 2019 and amended the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Act and the Lakes and Rivers Improvement Act (LRIA).

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted to Sunrise Freight Systems Inc. or the construction of stormwater management facilities at 50 Sloan Drive, Town of Caledon, Ontario.

An Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued for storm sewers serving KRS Holdings Wingham Inc., located at 82 Kerr Drive, in the Town of Wingham.

We have cancelled the Environmental Compliance Approval (Industrial Sewage) application for Polycorp Ltd., a rubber products manufacturing facility, located at 33 York Street West in Elora (Centre Wellington), Ontario.

The Program Approval was issued to Nortel Networks International Corporation to prevent or to reduce and control the discharge into the natural environment of any contaminant from the source of the contaminant of a site in London, Ontario.

We have amended the Pesticides Regulation under the Pesticides Act to reduce complexity and modernize pesticide management in Ontario while ensuring strong protection for human health and the environment.

We have approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval for Orillia Power Distribution Corporation to install a new secondary oil containment system, as part of a proposed electrical utility distribution substation, located at 4600 Uhthoff Line, in the City of Orillia.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. 7934-BHGQP4 was issued on March 31, 2020 to John Zubick Limited for a waste transfer and processing site, located in London, Ontario, for end-of-life vehicles, recyclables and a public drop-off facility.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air) was issued to Reynolds Consumer Products Canada Inc./Produits de Conssommation Reynolds Canada Inc. for all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere.
