IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE MNRF SEND A LETTER TO THE MOECC REQUESTING COMMENT BECAUSE :
The MOECC is currently under the impression and I quote:
“The Carmeuse Quarry is separate from the proposed Walker Landfill. The landfill is proposed in
the non-active portion (already quarried) of the quarry. “ (Tue, Apr 18, 2017 2:19 pm email Sarah

and Climate Change
Where in actual fact the exact landfill footprint being considered by Walker Industries as their
“preferred” site, is actively being quarried, and, no portion has been surrendered. It is Phase 2
of a three phase licence held by Carmeuse Lime, licence 2136.
This total misunderstanding illustrates the dramatic need for communication between the MNRF and
MOECC regarding this application.
For the MNRF not to send a letter requesting the MOECC to make comment on this application is
totally irresponsible !!!
