The application for consent for an easement was approved with standard conditions on December 22, 2020. Last date of appeal is January 11, 2021.

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has posted a new proposal (ERO # 019-2826) which addresses amendments to its Statement of Environmental Values. Therefore a decision has been made not to proceed with this proposal. This notice is to advise that the posting is closed.

Permit to Take Water No. 3480-8DURHC for commercial purposes has been issued. Water will be taken from one well and one pond related to golf course irrigation activities, located in the City of Sault Ste. Marie, District of Algoma, Ontario.

On December 18, 2020 the ministry issued an exploration permit located approximately 3 kilometres northwest of McKenzie Island, Ontario, in Dome Township, District of Kenora, North West Region.

An amendment Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued to Greenfield Global to remove two dryers and replace them with dryers with thermal oxidizers. The equipment change is expected to decrease emissions from the facility.

We issued the renewal for the Permit To Take Water No. 0235-8D8HKK for golf course irrigation and water supply purposes. Water will be taken from Lake Joseph at the Rocky Crest Resort and Golf Club located in the Township of Seguin, District of Parry Sound, Ontario.

Permit To Take Water No. 7466-AREGML has been amended for industrial processes and water supply for Harte Gold Corp. Water will be taken from two wells located in the Unorganized Township of Hambleton, District of Algoma, Ontario. Previously, the takings were from three wells, including one location change.

Permit to Take Water No. 1625-84BRGS was renewed for Beauty Bay (Kenora) Ltd. for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from the Black Sturgeon Lake in Kenora, Ontario.

We amended O. Reg 334 under the Environmental Assessment Act to reflect the updated responsibility for government realty.

Changes were made to the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, 1994 to provide certainty for northern, rural and Indigenous communities, while ensuring the continued sustainable management of Ontario’s forests and conservation of the province’s biodiversity.
