Proposal details

The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for industrial stormwater management works and the establishment of year-round subsurface sewage disposal works, rated at 20,850 litres per day, to service a proposed gas bar, convenience store, and mixed commercial use, located at 14027 Hurontario Street in the Town of Caledon, Ontario.

The proposed works include:

  • septic tanks
  • a package treatment system
  • a subsurface disposal bed

The ministry may require effluent monitoring and may impose effluent limits.

The stormwater management works comprise of stormwater quality control, quantity control, and erosion control works, and include:

  • on-site storm sewers
  • rooftop and surface storage
  • a stormwater management dry pond
  • an oil and grit separator

The stormwater management works will discharge to existing storm sewers located along King Street.
