Proposal details
On June 16, 2022, the City of Toronto adopted Official Plan Amendment 583 pursuant to sections 26 and 17 of the Planning Act by By-law 580-2022. This amendment is now before the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for a decision under the Planning Act.
Official Plan Amendment 538 contains new and updated policies on environmental protection, water resources and climate change. It also includes new and revised maps on these themes including the City’s Natural Heritage System, Water Resources Systems and Environmentally Significant Areas.
If approved, Official Plan Amendment 583 would apply to all lands within the City of Toronto.
