Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Permit to Take Water for TransCanada Pipelines Limited. Water will be taken from one well over two years for dewatering purposes in the Town of Whitby, Regional Municipality of Durham, Ontario. Details of the water taking are as follows:

Source 1: Well (2022 Excavations)

  • purpose of water taking: construction - dewatering
  • source of water: well
  • maximum rate (litres per minute): 6,000
  • maximum number of hours of taking per day: 24
  • maximum volume (litres) per day: 2,500,000
  • maximum number of days of taking in a year: 365
  • period of water taking: January 1 to December 31 for 2 years
