Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for modifications to existing subsurface disposal works at Lagoon Tent and Trailer Park, located at 100 Lagoon Trailer Park Drive in the Municipality of Huntsville, District of Muskoka, Ontario.

The park has a total of:

  • 70 trailer sites and 51 tenting sites
  • 3 rental cottages
  • a retail store and park office
  • 4 year-round residential dwellings.

The daily design sanitary sewage flow is approximately 43,403 litres per day.

The proposed modifications to the existing sewage works consist of two new sewage systems:

  • one with two collection system pump chambers, a sewage dump station for travel trailers, one 43,500 litres single chamber septic tank and one 30,000 litres single chamber septic tank, a leaching bed dosing chamber and a Class 4 subsurface disposal bed with a 24,375 litres per day capacity
  • the second sewage system consists of an existing sewage dump station for travel trailers, one 43,500 litres single chamber septic tank and one 22,000 litres single chamber septic tank, a leaching bed dosing chamber and a Class 4 subsurface disposal bed with a 17,050 litres per day capacity

These proposed works will service:

  • the 70 trailer sites
  • 51 tenting sites
  • 3 rental cottages located at the park,

The existing sewage works will service:

  • the retail store
  • park office
  • 4 year-round residential dwellings
