Bulletin details
The ministry analyzed the process to obtain a mining lease. The goal was to identify efficiencies, potential process improvements, and draft related guidance materials.
Minor efficiencies were found concerning digital document transfer improvements, improved internal access to data sources and enhanced internal project management processes. In addition, new guidance materials are currently being developed to improve public understanding of the process and to help with the preparation of taking a mining claim to lease.
