This proposal is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 7477-8PGMTZ for Bruce Power Inc, a nuclear power plant located near Tiverton, Ontario.
The emission sources from the nuclear power plant and associated processes that exhaust to the air include:
- steam venting
- fume hoods
- general building exhaust vents
- diesel-fired backup generators
- combustion equipment
- supporting equipment and processes at the site
Emissions to the air from this facility include:
- particulate matter
- nitrogen oxides
- carbon dioxide
- hydrazine
- morpholine
- ammonia
- manganese
The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air).
The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
