The 30 day comment period is unreasonable and unacceptable. This is a very complex proposal with serious environmental implications. The comment period must be extended to a minimum of 90 days.

This proposed site amalgamation reopens conditions for the rehabilitation of this area. When you look at how other quarries are rehabilitated like St Mary’s , Innerkip, Port Colborne, and compare it to how sparse the rehabilitation plans are for Carmeuse, we have an opportunity to require Lire davantage
