I would like to express my concerns with this application.

As a resident of Greater Napanee who lives close by to the proposed site I am worried about the impacts this will have on the quality of air, the environment, water and wildlife as well as long term health issues that could arose from living close to an asphalt plant. The smell, the proximity to the schools and downtown, and traffic increase on County Road 2 and Palace Road are also major concerns.

This application should get rejected just as town council voted unanimously against the by-law amendment for the proposed site. The location isn’t right. We are unwilling hosts at that particular site. There are surely other more suitable locations out there.

I love where I live and would hate to move but I definitely will if I have to live next to a permanent asphalt plant. I trust that you will make the right decision which in turn will allow me to continue to enjoy living in Greater Napanee.
