I am very concerned about this proposal and the effects it will have on the town of Napanee. The location of this proposed asphalt plant is within less than 1km of residential areas, downtown Napanee and the Napanee river. It will lead to at a minimum air and noise pollution, if not water as well. There are many toxic chemicals that will be byproducts of running this plant which will negatively impact the health and well-being of the residents of Napanee. The proposed location for this asphalt plant is too close to residents in the town of Napanee. The Napanee town council has already rejected a proposal from Tomlinson about the asphalt plant after significant concerns were raised by the residents of Napanee. Please do not approve this proposal. A location farther away from residential areas needs to be found.
