We are concerned with the emissions to the atmosphere. If what is listed is a complete listing of
all emissions to air? And if modifications, such as process changes or addition of new equipment
would involve emissions not now listed, would the company have to request approval from the
Ministry of Environment or just continue on with their existing renewal?
We ask these questions because a few times last year while we were outside we were enveloped in a
cloud of noxious gas so bad that it caused severe coughing, almost chocking with an inability to
get your breath, resulting in dizziness. We had to go indoors and suffered side effects of
headache, weakness and sore throat for hours after.
We do not know where these toxic clouds originated but we are concerned that similar emissions
could possibly exist here in the future if expanded operations take place like painting and/or
coating
of pipe etc.
We hope that emissions from the factory will be closely monitored by the Ministry of Environment
along with the public inspection policy.
