I find the lack of consultation with the community on behalf of MECP unacceptable. People have no idea that they should go to MECP environmental registry to submit comments regarding issues like DMS has created in the community. May I suggest that MECP implements a practice of notifying a community when there is something on the registry. People have no idea who to call. Many in the community frustrated with DMS excessive noise, air pollution, smoke, odor and explosions called the town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and were told that they could do nothing. MECP needs to be the one who notifies a community when something is on their MECP registry for consultation. Not much of a consultation when no one knows about it. Please bring forward this policy change.
