This was intended to be a protected area, as per the bill was passed in 2012.

While I understand the financial benefit of exploring for mining purposes, if something is found that is worthwhile financially, my fear is that this beautiful land will be destroyed for monetary purposes, rather than protecting the world's largest old growth red pine forest.

I would carefully urge you to re-examine the need for these exploration permits.
