Please help us protect this pristine land. I work in the mining industry, and know very well that these exploration companies ravage forests and don't exercise much care and caution for the trees and land. As much as there are guidelines and rules that these companies need to follow, there is very little supervision from government agencies and they do whatever they want and leave huge messes behind! I don't want to see this happen here, so close to home. I'm all for mining, but it seems like still in this day and age, companies and operations are not well monitored and create alot of distruction just for the sake of profit. They will cut corners every chance they get, and because their activities are not monitored very closely, they always get away with it.
