As a concerned community…

As a concerned community member I do not support the submission to increase pollutants into the air. Approving this is request will be short-sighted, and be viewed as a general disregard for the environment and our community and more over it will exasperate an already difficult situation, it is a symptom of the expansion of industry adjacent to residential neighbourhood. Ryding-Regency Meat Packers Ltd is already producing pollutants, there is no need to increase the amount. As well, there are other concerns associated with this that have not been addressed effectively to date – excessive dust, debris and noise pollution and offensive odours and no attempts have been made by the organization to mitigate some of these concerns from the community. We implore the Ministry not to permit expansion or increase the amount of toxins they will emit into the environment. They are right next to my home and the outdoor shopping complex that we use. This will have an immediate and negative impact on me and my family.
