To: Darryl Hagman, Aggregate Technical Specialist, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Aylmer Office April, 2017 Re: Comments on EBR numbers: 012-9852, 012-9850, 012-9849, 012-9848, 012-9845, 012-9843 – A Lack of information related to Site Plan Notes and Licence Conditions In what little is available to read on the EBR website, the quality of proposed rehabilitation is not noted anywhere in proposal descriptions. There are only the final land elevations of the areas which would be lakes or dry land. This is very troubling, as we know the MNRF allows a wide variety of rehabilitation options, many of which allow eyesores and environmental hazards to endure for decades in abandoned and dormant pits all across Ontario. Further, there are not supporting documents available, as is generally the case, for the public to read about the details of the plans. Why is this? For a full and proper public consultation, we would need to be informed of the plan for properties neighbouring homes and businesses in our community. Given that the request is not adequately described or explained, it is necessary for you to refuse it. Our community would thank you for that decision. Help us preserve Oxford from harm.
