A decision was made to change the name of O. Reg. 240/00 (previously Mine Development and Closure Under Part VII of the Act) to include a reference to advanced exploration. The new name of the regulation is Advanced Exploration, Mine Development and Closure Under Part VII of the Act.

The Ministry has decided to amend O. Reg. 45/11 to set out the conditions that are required for mining claimholders to sell the end product of a bulk sample and recover associated costs, without first obtaining the Minister’s permission: a “permit by rule” approach. This will allow previous amendments to the Mining Act to come into force. 

The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry has decided to amend the Mining Act, and O. Reg 45/11 under the Act to establish a public registry for licences of occupation, so the public can easily access the ministry’s information. The registry will be accessible through the Mining Lands Administration System (MLAS).

A new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) was issued to Ruby Farms Strathroy Limited for the operation of one (1) mobile grinder which will be used to grind wood, brush and leaves into mulch and smaller materials, and associated diesel engine.

Amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 9716-A5WQQY was issued to Northern Ontario Slag and Cement Inc., a mineral rock processing facility located in Black River-Matheson Township, District of Cochrane, Ontario.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for KS 300, 302 & 304 The East Mall Inc. for dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from one well as part of a permanent drainage system serving the proposed buildings located at 300, 302, and 304 The East Mall, Toronto, Ontario. Permit to Take Water P-300-1914176354 issued on January 10, 2022.

This decision is to renew and amend Permit to Take Water No. 2872-A8YKPF for ClubLink Corporation ULC for golf course irrigation and water supply purposes. Water will be taken from two wells at the Wyndance Golf Club, located in the Township of Uxbridge, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 8680-CAJKJM was issued on January 10, 2022.

We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to serve proposed Oak Bay Development – Phase 2, consisting of stormwater management works including road side ditches, enhanced swales and a dry pond that will discharge to undeveloped natural land located south of subject property.

We issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to Breeze Dried Inc., a facility which manufactures hardwood flooring, located in Tillsonburg, Ontario.
