Red Rock Mill Development Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (waste)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval No. A592001 issued for the use and operation of a waste disposal site located in Red Rock, Ontario. The site owner is Red Rock Mill Development Inc. The facility was previously associated with a former forest products facility and the approval is being updated to reflect current conditions and landfilling requirements associated with general site clean-up activities.

The service area is limited to onsite rehabilitation activities by Red Rock Mill Development Inc. The site will consist of a 44.27-hectares fill area within a total area of 135.93 hectares for the landfilling of the following waste categories:

• wood residuals
• lime/lime mud
• wastewater treatment plant biosolids
• general non-hazardous solid waste

The site will have a final volumetric capacity of 1,626,855 cubic metres. The hours of operation are seven days per week, 24 hours per day. Reclamation of lime/lime mud may also occur at the site.
