Tan-Jen Architectural Precast Products Ltd. - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) to be issued to Tan-Jen Architectural Precast Products Ltd., for an existing private facility designed for the treatment and disposal of industrial process wastewater, as part of molds and concrete products manufactured on a site located at 551 Tiffin Street in the City of Barrie, Ontario.

The formed concrete slabs are acid etched to create a finished “sandstone look”. The slabs are brushed with a 50% solution of hydrochloric acid on-site to smooth the concrete. The acid is neutralized by rinse water which drains into underground rinse water collection weeper field, neutralized further by limestone rocks, and directed by gravity to an underground tank, which is pumped out by a licensed hauler as an as needed basis.
