Decision details
The application for consent 60-C-232246 is draft approved subject to conditions.
The application was reviewed for consistency with the environmental policies of the Provincial Policy Statement (PPS). No public comments were received, and conditions were added to address partner ministry concerns relating to public health and safety and the protection of archaeological resources in a high potential area.
No concerns related to fish or wildlife habitat, species at risk, or protected areas were identified in relation to this application.
To be consistent with PPS Section 1.1.6, a Consent Agreement is required to ensure the property is used for recreational purposes only and not for permanent residential use.
To be consistent with PPS Section 1.6.6, confirmation from a licensed well driller ensuring water quantity and quality for the new property; and confirmation that there is adequate reserve sewage system capacity to dispose of hauled sewage.
To be consistent with PPS 2.6.2, an archaeological assessment of the entire property will be required.
The applicants have two years to satisfy conditions of draft approval, otherwise approval will lapse. The approval can be appealed using the procedure outlined below. Notice to appeal the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal must be filed with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on or before October 16, 2023.
