Original proposal
Proposal details
This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) for Stericycle, ULC for an enclosed non-hazardous solid and hazardous waste transfer facility. This transfer site is a 0.36 hectare property located in the City of Mississauga, Regional Municipality of Peel, Ontario.
The facility will use a 1,300.6 square metre enclosed structure where hazardous and non-hazardous biomedical, pharmaceutical, and light industrial wastes from various healthcare customers in Canada, received in sealed containers, will be:
- consolidated into trailers
- shipped to Stericycle’s disposal site located in Brampton, Ontario
The maximum quantity of waste delivered to the site on any given day is 50 tonnes, and 18,250 tonnes annually.
The facility operates 24 hours per day, Monday to Sunday year round, except for statutory holidays. The site will service the Province of Ontario and Canada.
