Decision details
The change to the site plan for Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) licence No. 626290 was approved by the Regional Director on July 13, 2022.
The approval allows 2170640 Ontario Limited to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate that may be removed in a calendar year from 150,000 tonnes annually to 250,000 tonnes annually. This increase addresses the higher demand for aggregates in the area.

Effects of consultation
Zero comments were received in response to the Environmental Registry of Ontario notice.
Seven comments were received through the ARA consultation process.
The concerns were related to:

- noise
- road safety
- truck speeding
- blasting impact on well and house
- hours of operation
- tree removal
- enjoyment of property
- property values
- impact to wildlife
- consultation related to original licence application
The concerns were addressed by the proponent through providing additional information, and through existing conditions on the licence and site plan.

2170640 Ontario Limited has applied to amend the current site plan to increase the tonnage condition for the site to 250,000 tonnes annually. The current site plan allows for the removal of a maximum of 150,000 tonnes of material annually.
This increase has been requested by the licensee to address the higher demand for aggregates in the area.
