I am opposed as this will affect the water table in Lake Huron, could negatively affect harbour water and this harbour with resident and transient boaters is part of the tourist attraction. There may be dangerous consequences for the fish habitat, and variety of water birds. Read more

This is absolutely ridiculous. This proposal has been a shock and a complete surprise to the community. That is a lot of water they want to remove. Where is it going ? Don’t they realize it’s beside a lake . Duh. Not to mention the area is full of underground springs. Read more

The proper environmental assessments have not been done for this project. The proposed location is on sandy beach, a floodplain, which has been used as a parking lot for decades. There will be petrochemical residues, undoubtedly, in the water pumped out. Where will that water be taken? Read more
