Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air - mobile) for Sanexen Environmental Services Inc., for the operation of a mobile treatment unit that will be used to treat in-situ and ex-situ soil, surface water, and groundwater contaminated by organic and inorganic compounds such as organic compounds (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum hydrocarbons, semivolatile organic compounds and volatile organic compounds), chlorinated solvents, and total particles.

The mobile unit equipment, accessories and pipes will be installed in a mobile unit, such as a container or trailer, or be temporarily stored in a dedicated and protected area on the site, such as in a building.

The equipment is used to inject chemical and/or biological products into the contaminated soil and/or groundwater through injection wells to degrade present contaminants, and it is also used to extract groundwater through extraction wells for ex-situ treatment. The equipment will be used throughout the Province of Ontario and can potentially operate 5 days a week, 10 hours per day.
