Proposal details

This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 5856-763P2S for upgrades to the sewage works for servicing the existing development with an additional on-site sewage treatment and disposal system.

The proposed sewage works, rated for 10,000 liters per day, serving approximately 50 existing sites consists of:

  • sewage collection system consisting of gravity collection piping, and sewage transfer stations where gravity collection is not possible
  • one 9,200 flow equalization tank equipped with dual sewage pumps
  • primary treatment system, consisting of one 19,300 liter sludge storage / primary clarification tank
  • secondary treatment system, consisting of one 13,800 liter Moving Bed Bioreactor (MBBR) treatment system
  • one 4,700 liter effluent pump tank equipped with dual effluent pumps
  • one 31,700 liter side-stream denitrification (Nitrex) filter
  • one in-ground Type A dispersal bed with a stone and pipe area of 228 cubic meters with two (2) cells each with a width of 6.0 meters and a length of 19.0 meters

The park has a total of approximately 220 existing trailer sites, no new sites are proposed. The sewage works that were previously approved are rated for 32,600 liters per day.
