Effects of consultation

Curve Lake First Nations identified concerns as below:

  • possible environmental impact to drinking water
  • endangerment to fish and wild game
  • impact on aboriginal heritage and cultural value and to endangered species; lands; savannas and presence of culturally important archeological sites

Ministry response:

The ministry has taken action in addressing these concerns:

  • an archeological report was conducted on the site of the Permit To Take Water proposal and shared to Curve Lake First Nations
  • technical hydrogeological review was conducted on the site of the Permit To Take Water proposal to evaluate and confirm the absence of potential harmful environmental impacts
  • habitats for species at risk will be protected by appropriate buffer and an extensive planting plan
  • storm water management plans will be considered for the wellbeing of water quality

1. Prepare your application

You’ll need to prepare an application. You may wish to include the following things in your application:

The appeal body will consider the following two questions in deciding whether to grant you leave to appeal:
