Proposal details

Paul Richardson has applied to vary a condition of the current licence to authorize an increase in the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed in a calendar year. The current licence condition states that “It is a condition of this licence that no more than 136,000 of material shall be removed in any one calendar year”. Paul Richardson has requested that the tonnage limit be increased to 350,000 tonnes annually.

The increase has been requested by the licensee to address the higher demand for aggregate in the area.

Other information

Paul Richardson currently operates the site under the authority of licence No. 3235 under the Aggregate Resources Act. In total 33.2 hectares are currently licenced as a pit.
