On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.
Proposal details
This proposal is to renew Permit To Take Water Number No. 7727–88EHF7 for industrial purposes for Goldcorp Canada Ltd. Water will be taken from two (2) wells for the operation of a Cement Rock Fill Plant at the Musselwhite Mine, located approximately 130 kilometres north of the town of Pickle Lake and approximately 470 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.
Details of the water taking are as follows:
Source of water: well (CFP-PW1)
- purpose of taking: industrial - cement backfill
- maximum rate per minute (litres): 450
- maximum number of hours of taking per day: 24
- maximum volume per day (litres): 650,000
- maximum number of days of taking per year: 365
- period of taking: January 1 to December 31 for 10 years
Source of water: well (CFP-PW2)
