Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) No. 8956-ABMRAK for Normerica Inc., a manufacturer of clumping cat litter located in the City of Brantford, County of Brant, Ontario.

This application is to reflect the current operations at the site and includes changes to one (1) dust collector serving the limestone unloading area and one (1) dust collector serving the cat litter packaging line.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include bentonite, calcium carbonate, and suspended particulate matter.
