Decision details

A Decision was made on June 9, 2021 to approve, with one modification, the City of Toronto’s Official Plan Amendment No. 456, as adopted by By-law 242-2020 on February 26, 2020.

Official Plan Amendment 456 forms part of the City’s five-year Official Plan review. The purpose of the Amendment is to comprehensively update and enhance the City’s transportation policies in the areas of transit; cycling; automated vehicles, shared mobility and other emerging mobility technologies; and update requirements on water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. The Amendment also includes updates to Official Plan maps and schedules.

The one modification in the Ministry’s Decision is intended to reflect Metrolinx’s updated mandate.

Other information

Pursuant to subsections 17 (36.5) and (38.1) of the Planning Act, the decision of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing regarding the Official Plan Amendment 456 adopted in accordance with section 17 and 26 is final and not subject to appeal. Accordingly, Official Plan Amendment No. 456, as approved with one modification, by the Minister, came into effect on June 9, 2021.
