The project site is in the Haultain Township, northeast of Gowganda. The mine access road is located off Highway 560, approximately 37 kilometres east of Elk Lake; the main area/compound is situated on the mine road, approximately 3 KM north of Highway 560. Mine site is located near LeHeup Lake.

Proposal details
Canada Cobalt Works Inc. has submitted a Mine Closure Plan Amendment for filing by ENDM as required under the Mining Act.
This Closure Plan Amendment is for additional work being carried out as part of the Castle Mine Advanced Exploration Project. This Amendment describes rehabilitation work, including timber and waste rock removal; blasting floor for ventilation tube placement, and establishment of a small backfill plans contained with a sea can, that allows for historical on-site tailings to be used to backfill test stope(s) with cemented tailings backfill.
