Effects of consultation

No comments were received in response to the Environmental Registry notice.  Thirteen (13) comments were received through the ARA consultation process.

Concerns raised were related to increased truck traffic, blasting, and ground and surface water impacts. As a result, Ottawa D-Squared Aggregates Limited had additional studies prepared to support the proposal, and reduced their request for a tonnage increase from 1,000,000 to 750,000 tonnes annually.

A decision was made to proceed with the approval of this proposal.
