First Quantum Minerals Ltd. has submitted a Winston Lake Mine Closure Plan Amendment for filing by the Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines as required under the Mining Act. This Closure Plan Amendment proposes rehabilitation measures to be implemented upon the eventual closure of First Quantum Minerals Ltd., Winston Lake Mine.

- closing Out-the Winston Lake Mine
This notice is provided to receive comments that can be considered in the decision-making process prior to the filing of the Closure Plan Amendment.
The filing of a Closure Plan Amendment does not relieve the proponent from compliance with any other requirements that are set out under the Mining Act or any other Act. All activities included in the filed Closure Plan Amendment proposal must be carried out in compliance with Ontario Regulation 308/12 and the Provincial Standards for Early Exploration.
