I am from Fort Severn, I do not in anyway support this proposal, as an indigenous hunter, mining operations only impact the land so much, sometimes it’s impossible to recover, especially when our water supply is contaminated. Lire davantage

I’m a bearskin lake member who does not stand with this as it jeopardize our lively hood, it’s how I eat and live, if the animals were poisoned or filled with toxics, how does that help me? You guys are always looking for more land? How much more do you need.

I'm a resident of Muskrat Dam First Nation and we rely on the Severn river for fish, water fowl, moose and traditional medicine. I oppose to this mining exploration. It will contaminate and change the water.

Mineral exploration in this area will endanger the wildlife and ecosystems that are important to the surrounding communities. The communities downstream rely on the water for drinking, and cultural practices. This proposition should be denied.

This is not good for the river or the land please do not put this anywhere on the river system or the land surrounding the water ways throughout the Severn River. Protect the water and lands we must. - we hunt in and around the waters - we fish the waters - we drink the waters Lire davantage

our lands are sacred for hunting & fishing. this is how our communities lives on.. we dont need anyone to recover any minerals that make our land. we do not look for it ourselves, why should we have anyone else do so. we prefer healthy life over luxury. Lire davantage

If the exploration is happening, what is next? Claims? If so, how are those first nations leadership easily signing the agreements? Severn river drains into the Hudson bay, it may be a large basin, however many people downstream still thrive through these watersheds. Lire davantage

The downstream First Nation communities are SANDY LAKE, KEE-WAY-WIN, MUSKRAT DAM LAKE, BEARSKIN LAKE and FORT SEVERN. Have there been proper discussions with the First Nations regarding this project? Have they agreed to this test drilling when it can affect their water? Lire davantage

Being a member of Sandy Lake First Nation, I think it is very important to consult with the people who have lived in the area first before any decision is made to act on any proposal. Lire davantage

Water is life. Have you been advocating for our drinking water in all First Nations communities who live under boil water advisories? What right do you have to do this? Just take and keep taking is all I’ve been seeing. Lire davantage
