I am from Fort Severn, I do not in anyway support this proposal, as an indigenous hunter, mining operations only impact the land so much, sometimes it’s impossible to recover, especially when our water supply is contaminated. The Severn river is our direct water supply and the river flushes out other communities that are upriver into the Hudson Bay. Northern Ontario is a big place, I’m sure they can explore and mine an area in the south, keep the permits off our reserves.

You need to speak to the communities elders and actually listen to what they have to say as well, as they are more intelligent.
