Please include the term rock in the new "Hobby Mineral Collecting Guide". This is necessary as many hobby collectors do not specifically collect a mineral; they collect an aggregate of minerals, i.e. a rock. Lire davantage

I belong to a few crystal and mineral sites and I find that in a few of them, people do not follow these rules of what they can legally take in regards of sizes and amounts and where they are found. Quite a few along lake Superior within the park. Lire davantage

As a rockhound, it seems to me that the government of Ontario would want lots of knowledgeable people nosing around the province’s mineral lands. One way to do this is to allow rockhounds better access to these lands. Lire davantage

Very disturbed with the changes to public rockhounding. This proposal virtually eliminates the hobby of rockhounding in ontario and it is very disturbing that these proposed changes are even being made.

Hi, I'm a hobbyist collector of minerals and fossils, and have belonged to a couple of clubs within central Ontario for many, many years. I really can't imagine the amounts of rock collected by us would in any way hinder the availability of minerals for the Government in Ontario. Lire davantage
