We have amended the Renewable Energy Approval No. 4623-9W7K5Q for the Whitesand First Nation Cogeneration Facility. The amendment is to correct the definition of "Application".

The Renewable Energy Approval held by Sagatay Cogeneration Ltd., as general partner for and on behalf of Sagatay Cogeneration LP was amended.

The purpose of the posting is to inform you of the amendment and your right to require a hearing in respect of this decision.

We consider this proposal an administrative amendment and do not expect it will have any significant impact on the environment. Therefore, public consultation is not required.

On May 25th, 2020 we amended existing Renewable Energy Approval No. 4623-9W7K5Q to correct the definition of "Application" in the Approval.

This Class 1 Thermal Treatment Facility, known as the Whitesand First Nation Cogeneration Facility, is located in unsurveyed territory in the Territorial District of Thunder Bay. The facility has a total expected generation capacity of 5.5 megawatts and can operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Third party hearing provisions

Any resident of Ontario may require a hearing by the Environmental Review Tribunal within 15 days after the date this decision was loaded to the Environmental Registry (see top right of bulletin notice) by written notice served upon all of the following:

An applicant for a hearing shall state in the notice requiring the hearing, (a) a description of how engaging in the renewable energy project in accordance with the renewable energy approval will cause, (i) serious harm to human health, or (ii) serious and irreversible harm to plant life, animal life or the natural environment; (b) the portion of the renewable energy approval in respect of which the hearing is required; and (c) the relief sought.
