Kerry (Canada) Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 9659-B4XHBY with Limited Operational Flexibility for Kerry (Canada) Inc., a liquid wood consumable products manufacturing facility located in the Town of Renfrew, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include:

• rotary dryer
• solid fuels combustor
• cyclone system
• storage silos
• condensers
• boiler
• cooling tower

The amendment includes modifications to the height of two stacks, and to a change in the carbon monoxide limit.

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• manganese
• silicon dioxide
• particulate matter
• carbon dioxide
• nitrogen oxides
• nickel
• benzo(a)pyrene
• chromium

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
