Transition to Less Waste is an Ontario based nonprofit organization that promotes environmental sustainability.

Please accept the attached document as Transition to Less Waste’s non-exhaustive comments on ERO 019-8065 - Lafarge Canada Inc., regarding their request for a major site plan amendment that proposes the operation of mobile aggregate processing plants and associated trucking in the centre block of Lafarge’s Woodstock Quarry (ARA 2180) during daytime, evening, and nighttime hours.

Transition to Less Waste is of the opinion that noise emissions and vibrations outside of normal daytime business hours are unreasonable and essentially ask quarry neighbours to accept disruption of their quiet rural lifestyle during hours where they should be able to converse, rest, and sleep.

We believe it would be in the public interest for the MNRF to turn down proposed significant site plan amendment request.
