As part of the goal of connecting people with nature, I would like to see Bigwind PP have a dedicated focus on environmental education & nature interpretation, including a full time Discovery staff team and strong leadership.

I believe this park will have significant day-use from the GTA and will be an excellent opportunity to connect a wide and diverse range of Ontarian’s with nature. I believe this park’s 4-season plan means that staff who could provide winter interpretation is also key.

I would also like to see greater connections with equity-deserving people, to ensure diverse staff teams. It might be a great chance for some different types of partnerships with educational institutions for practical learning as well.

Very excited to see more newcomers to Canada have access to nature!
