These proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Area boundary regulation is a gross overreach by the Provincial Government. I am beyond disappointed that this has been “proposed” and completely bypasses the municipal decision making level. I am absolutely against annexing Greenbelt areas at this time - it is a short sighted decision that will have significant negative impacts to our local greenbelt ecosystem and once it is “taken” this land could never be returned to its original state.
