I have some big concerns about this project.
1.How can the Proponent submit a Permit to Take Water without the Town having completed their approval of site plan servicing agreement or all required reports?
2. How much noise is generated and will it affect the nearby residents, businesses, visitors?
This 25,000 square foot proposal is less than 100 meters away from homes, a hotel, Condosand our harbour which houses a resturant.
It is less than 300 meters away from the water of Lake Huron.
3. What is the impact on wildlife and even domestic pets from the noise?
4. Is it going to be heard by the visitors who enjoy sitting at the Harbour to watch sunsets?
The families on the beach, some who have come here for generations for the quietness?
I have heard this dewatering will be 24 hours 365 days for 3 years ?
5. What might be the impact to the ground and sandpoints.
This community has a watering restriction and rely on the sandpoints for numerous projects.
the towns watering system is metered.
6 Could this change or modify the natural flow of the artisian wells and streams that flow in this area to the lake?
The project being proposed had been moved away, from its close proximity of the water, once.
7. Has the Saugeen Ojibway First nations been consulted?
I am against the approval of this application with out a lot more research and environmental studies.
