I do not support provisions that further enhance the authority of the Ministry without an obligatory, meaningful and deliberative process of consultation with all stakeholders, including community groups and local residents. I do not support provisions that allow the overriding of local and community concerns, including those advocated by municipalities, city councillors, and the like. I support a provision for the Ministry to stipulate mandatory public consultation and engagement with all stakeholders to derive a more meaningful and acceptable result.
