Wolf Lake is the largest known old growth red pine forest and the missing link in the Chiniguchi Waterway Provincial Park. Efforts to replant red pine forests have failed and biologists are currently studying the area to discover the unique environmental conditions required for these forests to exist and thrive. If we lose Wolf Lake, we lose an invaluable natural data set forever. It is past time to fulfil the promise to protect Wolf Lake as a park for present and future generations. Exploration activity in this area will have unacceptably high disturbance to the ecology and social value of this ancient forest.

The company submitting the application does not have a good track record of actually finding mineral resources nor do they have a good environmental track record. This area is also vital to the local rural economy which benefits greatly from outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy this precious natural area. It is simply infinitely more valuable as a rare, intact ecosystem and must be preserved for future generations.

I strongly oppose any resource extraction activities in this area.
