I have requested to view any documents related to this application and been told "someone will get back to you with a viewing opportunity", and "there are concerns about what can be made available". This has not happened.

As a result, I don't think this public comment period has been fair at all.

Substantively, this plant is presumably an expansion over previous volumes, and there appear to be significant issues in the local community re: the ability of the waste treatment plant next door to cope. There are municipal reports indicating the plant is already struggling, due to the Sofina plant.

The plant ultimately discharges treated effluent into the Thames River, which is upstream of indigenous communities (eg. Oneida which is intermittently under a boil-water advisory and draw their drinking water from the Thames).

In the absence of any further information available, my request is that the public comments period be extended and information be available on the proposed energy, water, emissions & sewage from the plant, as well as proposed volume limits (which will impact future factory farm developments that also impact the environment.

No reasonable decision can be made by the Ministry without such information, which should be publicly available during the comment period.
